Football

Park visitors can play touch football and flag football at the North Meadow in the fall.

Fields are available for pickup games without a permit. If you’d like to reserve a specific field at a given time for leagues, teams or other groups, you’ll need a field permit from NYC Parks.

Only a permit will ensure uninterrupted use of the field. For more information about ballfields and permits, visit the NYC Parks website.

Cleats are prohibited.

The Conservancy uses a red flag system to alert the public of field closures. If you see a red flag on a field, or an enclosed fence, please do not use that area. Our staff works year-round to keep fields healthy and well-maintained.
