Lawn Bowling and Croquet Greens
The Bowling and Croquet Greens are two fenced-in fields built specifically for lawn bowling and croquet, located just to the north of Sheep Meadow.
Although both sports have been played for centuries, they became popular again in New York City in the early 20th century, leading to their inclusion in Central Park with the creation of this facility in 1926.
Visitors interested in using the Greens may contact the Permit Office of the Parks Department.
