Central Park Cherry Blossom Trees

Central Park is home to some of the most stunning cherry blossoms, or sakura, in the City! Here’s all you need to know to enjoy this magical season in the Park.
Where to Find Cherry Blossoms in Central Park
While you can spot cherry blossoms all over the Park, you’ll find the most spectacular displays around the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, the Great Lawn, Cherry Hill, Pilgrim Hill, and Sheep Meadow. These areas boast our most impressive collections of cherry trees, where you can stroll under the dreamy canopies or snap a photo of Central Park in full bloom.
When to Look for Blossoms
Generally, blooms begin in late March and reach their peak in mid- or late-April—but due to factors like temperature, precipitation, and changing climate patterns, we can never guarantee the exact time the cherry trees will bloom.
