Forever Green: Ensuring the Future of Central Park

Thanks to the generosity of donors and Trustees, the Central Park Conservancy’s Forever Green campaign came to a successful close on June 30, 2019.

Surpassing its goal, the campaign raised $514 million and accomplished what it set out to do — strengthen the future of Central Park through a number of capital projects, as well as raise critical funds for tree care and preservation, landscape and horticultural maintenance, and the Institute for Urban Parks. In addition, the Conservancy raised over $160 million for the re-envisioning of the new center at the Harlem Meer, a project which will be the capstone of our work in the north end of the Park and our largest project completed to date.
