Join us August 12–15 for the 22nd Annual Central Park Conservancy Film Festival, presented by National Geographic.

What are the 2025 Central Park Conservancy Film Festival dates?

The Film Festival will take place on Tuesday, August 12; Wednesday, August 13; Thursday, August 14; and Friday, August 15.

When does the movie start each night?

Gates open at 6:30 PM. Enjoy pre-show programming and music from 6:30 PM until the movie starts at dusk (around 8:00 PM).

Where does the Central Park Conservancy Film Festival take place?

The Film Festival will take place on the landscape between Sheep Meadow and the 72nd Street Cross Drive.

Is there a restroom nearby?

Yes, there is an accessible restroom located at Mineral Springs. There will also be portable toilets along the perimeter of the landscape where the movie is screened.

Is parking available?

No, driving and parking personal vehicles are prohibited in Central Park.

Who attends the Film Festival?

This is a free, public, family-friendly event open to visitors of all ages.

Does it cost anything to attend?

The Film Festival is free, but your donations to the Central Park Conservancy help ensure we can continue to host community events and care for the Park.

Do visitors need to reserve a ticket to attend the Film Festival?

Tickets and pre-registration are not required to attend.

Are concessions offered at the Film Festival?

Concessions are not provided. Visitors may bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages. We encourage attendees to pack their food in reusable containers to create less waste and support the Conservancy staff’s efforts to keep the Park clean and healthy.

Do you provide blankets and chairs?

No, you must bring your own blanket. Please refrain from using tarps, plastic, or inflatable couches. Chairs are not allowed on the lawn, and you will be asked not to use them.

Are pets allowed at the Film Festival?

While pets are not encouraged, if you do bring your pet, they must remain on a leash for the duration of the event.

What accommodations are provided for people with disabilities?

There are no stairs to access the landscape, and there is a reserved section at the top of the landscape for individuals in wheelchairs.

What is your cancellation policy?

The Film Festival is subject to cancellation due to weather conditions, including rain, lightning, severe heat, or high winds. Cancellations are announced by 11:00 AM on the day of the event.
